Siem Reap

We arrived in Siem Reap about 3:30 or so and asked to be taken to Molly Malone's guesthouse. It's always a good idea to have a guesthouse in mind before arriving, otherwise your transport will take you one to there choosing that will pay them a kickback. Molly Malones was a fairly authentic Irish pub in the bottom with rooms upstairs. $25 a night for a double room with hot water and A/C.

There is a main pub street near the old market in Siem Reap which has plenty of budget accommodations and plenty of nightlife. It also has plenty of beggars and amputees. All in all good fun and cheap cold bear.

The Houm's

We met a nice couple in Siem Reap, the Houm's. Phoas, worked at Molly Malone's while Sarom was our Tuk-Tuk driver around the temples. They hung out with us a few nights at Molly Malone's and invited to there home. Unfortunately, due to a time problem, we didn't make it. They did give us some interesting insight into Cambodian life.

Back to SE Asia Home.
